Instead of the 5th wheel try to pull the tandems pin and reverse the air lines! Then he'll have to reweigh if he didn't mark his hole! At least the $1.00 is a nice punishment and he'll lose another 15-30 minutes off of the log! It'll scare the #### out of him because he wasn't expecting the big bang when the tandems hit the rear! And no one gets hurt! Well unless he pulls out so fast he pulls the darn tandems out from under the trailer!

Soooooooooo there we were in Parvo UT (I know it's not Parvo but I like saying it) and this guy was beating on his tandems with hammer then getting in and out of the truck. My husband being a nice man
went over and offered to help him. The guy said "I don't need no ########## swiftie helping me" My husband came back and we watched him continue. After he worked that truck over a few more times and backed up and down.....he finally got in his truck and drove off.............his tandems. We sat and watched the shop people from the truckstop come over and laugh then tell him it would cost over $2000.
Sometimes people really ought to take their heads out of their hind ends long enough to accept help. -

When I run into a driver that blocks a fuel island I will back out and move to another 1. Much simpler that way.
DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
I fill in for our yard jockeys when they need a day off or call in sick or whatever. We have a very small yard and dock area but it never fails that almost every driver that comes in to pick up their load feels the need to block up the entire parking lot. The kicker is that we drop their trailers on a different part of the property. Occasionally they may find their trailer still in the door but even still - if it's ready pull out and onto the street or side lot and take care of your business there. I don't see the need to pull up right in front of the docks and park!
I call them lazy - because they don't want to walk the extra 100 feet or so from the road, side drop lot, or across the street into the main office. On top of that, they will stand upstairs talking to dispatch & other drivers, getting coffee, or watching t.v..
I have & will move their trucks so that I can continue doing my job or so that other drivers could get their trailers and leave. I hate to do that but sometimes they leave me no choice. I am always careful to make sure that I don't block anyone whether it's at a truck stop, on our yard, or at a shipper/rec. If I can come in and get my trailer and do my stuff and get out without any problems I can't understand why anyone else can't do the same.
As an earlier post stated - it's that all about me syndrome! I don't know, maybe the rest of us are just to nice? Either way, its aggravating as all heck to have be the one dealing with another driver or drivers ignorance! -
FB, I can just see your face!!!
