DBA will give you no protection. You have your friend run your truck, hit a car, even if it is not his fault and a good lawyer for the otherside could nail you with a liability suit. Now your home, personal belongings etc, even your wife/childrens belongings can be called in as settlement. You also lose a major tax break due to not meing incorporated. FL is a PITA. My business was founded there, this year I have moved it to VA and have saved 13k alon in insurance. You have a lot ahead of you to figure. DOT will not OOS a plug but if they determine the punsture to be too close to the sidewall (just as the repair facilities do) that woul dbe looked at as a sidewall puncture and there will be your OOS. Like I said earlier, I had all new rubber and everyone that as replaced was not due to tread wear, just simple damage that was concidered sidewall damage. It is not something you can decide. It sux but it is just the way it is.
