LOL!! This was exactly my experience. Most people in my class thought I was joking when I said I was the only one to fail the first round of range evaluations - I had been doing better than most. And there were three in my class that I was sure would fail the first test - I'd never seen them do an alley dock or offset back correctly - but somehow they all passed.

Wow. I've heard plenty of other stories like this, but my experience was very different.

Our class started with 13, and only 2 quit in the first few days just due to other stuff in their life - the rest all graduated. The class before us lost 1 out of 6, and the class behind us lost 1 out of 7 - everyone else stuck with it and graduated.

Don't stress. Those who get sent home are the ones who didn't take it seriously or didn't think it through very well. You're obviously neither of those! Good luck!

When I taught at a CDL mill, about half the students who registered and showed up for class left there with their CDL.

After a year, maybe 10-20% were still trucking. The school sent most of its students to Pam and USA.

Just keep track of any 10 random new drivers on here,

then you can do your own math.

But I wish them all well anyways !!

Sadly he is right most don't make it a year. I also think that is because most people get into this being poorly informed as to what it will be like and what to expect or they read up on here and think somehow it will be different for them. Since the OP already has a CDL I'd have to say I think he will do fine as he should know what to expect.

Pam and usa?..must have been C1..which is where I got mydl originally, and neal, you are rightthe first time I did this I was completely clueless and I freaked out a little when I I got out there, this time I know what to expect and it won't be a surprise, I also have a better home life then I did 10 years ago as well, so that stress should be better..now as long as I don't get a drunken douchbag trainor like last time I should be golden..lol

You should be fine---you can always request a new trainer if you have any major issues with the first one.

For the record... a lot that get sent home from millington is mainly medical/drug test/background stuff.. My son is there right now and I think they lost maybe 10 outta their class so far..He is in his 2nd week now so all seems good so far. You should have no problem since you hold a cdl already.

Good luck to you @ Camp Millington!

    BigBusMan Thanks this.
