I like that name for it, it kinda felt like trucking boot camp. Also road instructors at Gary must have quit or got in trouble for something. Got a message a week ago that the positions were open looking for interested drivers. Too bad, I thought they were great and plus they knew every little detail of what was going to be on the CDL test and all the testers.

LOL Don't worry about it, I know it is useless telling you that, but you will be taken care of properly,

The instructors are part of Millington Academy and do not do the road test at orientation so nothing to worry about with that. Technically speaking the academy is not part of Swift, it's a separate company and it has to be a Swift employee doing the Swift road test. If you graduate from Millington there is no road test at orientation. You go straight to a mentor's truck and once its time for you to upgrade you do your road test then. It doesn't even need to be at your home terminal, I did mine at Lancaster even though my terminal is Gary. And yes the bus ride sucks, hopefully you get one of the new ones with wifi at least. After I upgraded they bussed me home from the Lancaster terminal at it was something like 26 hours total, never again.

I took a train from Chicago to Gary once my truck was ready. About the only nice thing about Chicago is you really never need a car to get around.
