    from what ive read so far 300-500 a week is better than what ive been making. im just a country boy that likes the big trucks and tires. i know the first yr is gonna be rough, but i aint skeered. im hoping to find a good company to start with. this is a very good site with lots of advice. ive found answeres before ive had to ask the question. thanks guys

    Hi Justin,

    I hope your wife is really clear what this will mean for you both. She will become a single mom overnight, and you will maybe get home one weekend a month. Its far more of an upheaval for her and the kids than it is for you.

    Ask her to sign up here and get talking to the other wives in the Ladies Room. She will see straight away that many wives find it unbelievably tough bringing up kids alone. Not all marriages survive the OTR test.

    Not trying to put you off trucking, just want you guys to really think it thru, and know exactly what you are getting into.
    And if you go ahead, the wives here will do their best to support her. She will need it, make no mistake.

    my wife is fixin to graduate lpn school then she wants to go back to be a rn, umm, the divorace rate for truckers is high but the rate for doctors are higher, or so im told. God will decide whats best for us. thanks
