    I'd like a barroom.....even a short one!

    yeah he meant broom.

The letter "a" in the header... had to reread the title!

My first thought upon seeing the thread title, someone is devolving and needs helps.

Watched a driver at a bean plant today spend 20 minutes fighting with his trailer tail to get them closed so he could open the doors. Every time he had it latched, it would pop open, twice smacking him in the face.

Yeah well... My mind went someplace nsfw when I saw the title. Moreso than you or Blair... Not posting what I thought. ...some of us have to keep some secrets you know! :biggrin_25524: :biggrin_25511:

Thats one of those things I would get if I went o/o, they do seem like a good bit of trouble but from what I've heard (personal frustrations and being smacked aside) they also seem like a good investment.

Those of us driving empties on windy days greatly appreciate the lack of turbulence. I often hope a tailed trailer will stay in front of me for a bit.

I get roughly 9.3mpg in the Columbia, skirts on the trailer do help. I managed 9.7mpg on a 400mile run to Lakeland. No cruise control either.

My supervisor told us, that the company wanted to put skirts on our trailers. He told them they were nuts, due to us guys (at my location) go into some driveways at the customer's warehouses dip and dive and we have to "gyrate" to get to the door. The owner of my company told my supervisor he was nuts, we are getting them.

Well the owners son came up to our location by my supervisors request. He and the son went on a ride along. following me to my 2 BOSTON stops, which by the way, ONE OF THEM, I really DO NOT go to anymore, but the supervisor wanted him to think I still go there.

Ok, when the son saw the HUGE dip I have to take to get INTO the parking lot, then come up, then back down to the dock, he froze, when he saw the driveway nearly come up to the trailer's rub rail. Then onto the second BOSTON stop, where the dip into the driveway is EVEN STEEPER.

Boss and son drove back to the warehouse (starting point) son left, telling boss, I'll tell my dad to forget about you guys! Boss couldn't stop laughing at what he had said, and couldn't thank me enough for making it look so hard. I said, "MADE IT LOOK HARD"? I have to do that every night, and IT IS HARD!

Never got trailer skirts, and it's been nearly 3 years now!
