I have a cigar box with a bunch of spare parts thrown in it and a mike attached. I have to make sure NASA isn't doing anything when I want to use it 'cause I'll mess up their communications in outer space. :biggrin_255:

I keyed the mike on my little maxon this morning on the way to work. The alternator seized, headlights dimmed then blew out, top of the battery blew off then finally the 2.3 over revved and threw the rods through the hood. all I wanted was a "radio check".:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

    +1

I'd like to know too. I just picked up a new 29LTD Classic and have now decided not to RFX it. A little research goes a long way.

Getting back into CB after a 30 year hiatus. :biggrin_25518:

Copper electronics best prices on Texas star or redman cb shop for Fatboy and stuff. But I would go with the TS 400v $289.00 at cooper, biggest you should go with stock alt anything bigger will need a maul and allot more cash:yes2557: or amp won't perform to maximum capabilities. That's with the assumption this will be going into a four wheeler wouldn't advise installing one of these in a company truck they kinda frown on that.

Ted, just a word of warning things have changed since 1981. You might find there's not as many people on the radio, channel 9 is all but dead and whoever is left on the radio may or may not talk to you. It might even be enough to make you want to take another 30 year hiatus.
