Load it backwards. You'll get used to the feeling after a while.

Well I did some more experimenting.

First I turned the blade straight and moved the machine forward a foot or two keeping the blade on the lower deck. I weighed it and got this.

All I can figure is on the original weigh I didn't have the all the trailer tires completely on the scale.

Next I decided to try backing the machine on. I did like this. IMG_1343.jpeg

I went to the scales again and got this. Looks like I just need to move the machine back a tiny bit and all will be good. I am surprised the steer only went up 180 lbs. My fifth wheel is as far forward as it can go without the trailer hitting the mudflaps.

You probably didn't need to move the 5th wheel. I never move it, just adjust the load. My steers stay about 12200 all the time.

I didn’t move the fifth wheel I was just saying it is as far forward as it can go and with the drives over 34 I have less than 11 on the steers which means no real way I can get to 80k.

Are you long enough to "bridge" 80K?

Does your trailer dump the air suspension when you set your brakes? You’re not setting your brakes on the scale are you? If you “have to” set your brakes, only ever do your drives.

The trailer does not have air suspension it is spring ride.
