Did you surrender or downgrade your CDL or do you still have it? It's unlikely you would need to go through CDL school again.you might need a refresher course or you might just need to ride with a trainer for a week or two.

Contact the Dot Transportation terminal in Richland, MS -- & ask them what nearby CDL schools they prefer:

    271 Walker Circle
    Richland, MS 39218

    Dot Transportation hires new drivers:

    Training & Orientation

It's easily one of the best CDL gigs in your area. You can start there -- & retire from there.

Does Dot Foods Transportation have a rider program?
TheOtherJack plans to take the wife on the road with him.

Drivers must be with DTI for no less than six months before bringing a passenger on board.

Total Transportation Of Mississippi is owned, and have been owned for many years, by US Xpress, which is now part of Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings.

NOTHING wrong with company-paid training. I just think you should check these schools out before going into indentured servitude for a year. Most likely, you will qualify for at least a partial grant to finance it!

Thank you for your reply. I will check into these options, however, my family is in dire straights financially, so paying for a school isn't an option. I don't mind driving to pay off a school. I just want to get going again. I'm talking to a few companies that have been mentioned in this thread.

    Cheers!
