There has been a lot of assertions that the 22.5 tire has a lower rolling resistance, but I've NEVER seen a manufacturer make that statement. Low pro vs. 11R rubber, yes, the low pro is better.
The only thing I've ever seen was a technical report issued by (IIRC) Goodyear, that stated that yes, the 24.5 tire has inherently lower rolling resistance. I should have bookmarked it at the time, because I can't find it again. -
I have heard the statement and was explained why. You lose energy in the contact patch every time a tire makes a revolution. The tall rubber has less revs per mile so that’s where you get the slight rr advantage over lo pro.

good year and bridgestone engineers claim low pro offers lowered rolling resistance in this article.
Going low -
Keep your foot out of it, keep RPMs in optimal fuel mileage range and Turbo boost below 15. There is your fuel economy.
-
Both 24.5 and 22.5 tires come in lo pro and 11R (Tall) sizes.
-
i know. it was stated earlier that lo pro offers more rolling resistance.
-
Just telling you what I was told and showed. You can believe it or not. And I didn’t say Bridgestone or Goodyear. I can’t say what their tires do

i'm was responding to your opening statement on this thread, which was a general statement on lo pro vs. tall rubber.no branding mentioned.
