I heard a driver say next year it will be illegal to use a hand mike in an 18 wheeler, which pretty much kills CB while trucking for good. Has anyone else heard this or is it just a rumor?
-
I haven't heard it........

This sentence appears to equate "average CB trucker with turned up radio" to "bozos" on the ham band.....thus both are bozos!!! Did I miss something???? I mean you said it so it must be what you think, no?
I just asked a question. You appear to be the sensitive one since you have now taken to INSULTING FELLOW MEMBERS AND CALLING NAMES!! A direct rules violation by the way, but not to worry. I won't go crying to the mods or push the report button. I'm a big boy and can take care of myself. By the way, I agree that bozos exist.....just not that a trucker with a tuned up radio, export or not, running power, or not, equals a BOZO! There, I've dealt with it!
Mike(possibly a BOZO according to you)
(I'm jerking your chain a little here and having fun so don't jump off the deep end on me!)
P.S. who said I had a problem with you posting here????? It's a free place post away! But when you make general statements (especially negative ones) about a group of people expect to get called on it........Now you can clear it up, or continue to defend your position that ALL TRUCK DRIVERS WITH TUNED UP RADIOS ARE EQUAL TO THE BOZOS ON THE HAM BAND!
(just for clarity, not all hams are bozos, but all bozos are indeed "hams"!
)

You lost me mike ..... I thought BOZOS where what we elected to our goverment
Big Don Thanks this. -
You are correct! All clowns basically................the politicians, not the amateur radio operators.
WA4GCH Thanks this. -
Point out one insult and 2, a turned up cb is illegal- the law is the law. The only thing protecting illegal cbs is the vast number of them and the lack of enforcement. As for reporting me- go ahead- the burden of proof is on you. Sorry you're taking this personally- well actually truth be told- don't care. But if you're one of these who so willfully flaunt the rules just to create hate and discontent on the air....well....

I've made my case and said my piece, I see no use in repeating myself.

I use my radios to do my job. If there is a low bridge 29 miles ahead, I need to know. So forget about Outlaw CB stuff, It's just silly. Cell phones talk al over the world.

"So forget about Outlaw CB stuff, It's just silly."
You could try having manners. Being civilized is better than having the personality of a rope.
It was not "my stuff". A driver told me this. Since I had not heard this before I decided to ask drivers who are in the business if there was any validity to it. Only a moron insults people asking innocent legitimate questions.
