Does anyone have the diagnostic laptop or code reader for a 2012 cummins isx 2250?
I don't know a lot about it and I see prices for these tools of up to 3k or even more.
I want to be able to fix my own things for example say I want to reset my dpf after changing the filter or I change an injector and I want to reset the truck after fixing it.
What should I get so I can read my codes and be able look at my parameters and adjust them?
How much should I pay for it?
Anyone use INSITE and how much is it?
I seen Petro use the Jpro. Is that as good?
Will it be a PITA to figure it out without messing up the ecm or other things on the truck?
Thx for feedback.

I use Insite, it does a lot of things besides just read codes. You can run Diagnostics, do Regens, Cylinder cut out tests and also run it going down the highway to see how your engine is performing. The thing you can't do is make changes to the ECM, so if you want to kik your power up or your speed you will still need a shop for that.

You can buy the software and reader online Ebay for 500.
