True (I would tend to agree) his is a load securement, at 1 point *x's3= 3*. If he were nailed for say speeding, he would have gotten 5 *x's 3 =15. To me, speeding would be MORE of a problem.

On the prior accident where it said injury and citation issued. The both of those were most likely on the other driver. But the way the system is set up for accidents it does not specify. So it will show up. Just like all accidents show up, regardless of who was at fault. If it happened to be 2 trucks in the accident they would both have the same points from the accident itself.
The number of points is very low though. Heck, you get max points just for having a turn signal out. Or for missing your 30 min break. They are in different areas though, and the fmcsa likes to stress that points do not cross from one to the other.

If you have no plan to change jobs in the next 3 years the new ones will not matter. The accident one stays longer, but is minor, since you were not at fault.

I hate to say this but, it's not coming off. I got my deal thrown out in court and then did a data Q and it's still not off. Happened 9 months ago, I just ran my psp, and CSA not off. Guess I'll have to keep my nose clean for 3 years (close to 2 now) and just learn from it.

With tj that being said, this system is so against the driver I mean. DOT may give you a "warning" or a citation but as soon as they say let's do an "inspection" might as well get the Lube, and be ready for a gaping hole after that. Seriously, I could see like if there was a rebuttal to where if the inspection came clean then nothing should be put on there and on you go. But, I guess that's just way to easy and makes way to much sense.

I didn't know they still were doing that CSA Junk. I don't think none of that #### matters.

I agree, for me personally if one abides by the rules in that little green DOT book, no one should be getting any points. However, the CSA is yet another revenue making arm that all states are involved with. There are companies that I have seen advertised over the months that will down right say something like, CSA points, need not apply. Now some of those ads believe it or not are for jobs here, in the local sector, like garbage trucks, metals recycling trucks, and some other vocational trucking jobs. Of course even some of the smaller mom and pop places do not want CSA points as nearly all of them cannot afford to be self insured, and need the insurance companies instead.

I thought that a re-writing or over haul of the CSA was spoken of, don't know if that is ever going to happen though?

For starters, CSA points are assigned to carriers and not drivers. When a driver gets a CSA infraction, the infraction itself goes on the drivers PSP. The points go to the carrier.

Some carriers have their own CSA programs, but in all honesty carrier issued CSA points dont mean squat.

and CSA points ONLY come from inspections, not tickets.
