My trainer with KLLM slept in the back and handed me the keys when all I knew was how to pass a cdl test. I got lost and needed help my first week and he screamed at me…. If I got nervous about something he yelled at me… At this point I had no real world experience other than school and day 2 he told me that if I had to wake him or call him up from the bunk for help then I wasn’t cut out for it… I refuse to believe that, but I’m also not going to be screamed at daily, so I left and went to Roehl when student support wouldn’t help.
That's pretty crazy that Roehl didn't give you a chance to retake the test, or send you back out with a trainer. They must send a lot of people home... which means they must be raking in a small fortune from these failed contracts. I worked for Roehl years ago and normally speak pretty highly of them, but this seems like a pretty shady practice!
Monmouth IL 61462 I’ve put out more than 100 applications. Western express will hire me and I may have to go, they only hire flatbed out of my area and can’t get me in until Feb 10, but I’m honestly hoping to get on at a refer dry van company because the idea of throwing tarps and climbing on loads intimidates me.
My training was wonderful up until the upgrade test… I’ve had so many people tell me that if I’d taken it in WI instead of Gary that I’d still have a job
