It's rough out here right now. Just the way recruiters are talking to me make me understand that it's not a drivers market. I live 11 miles outside of Schneider's hiring area. I was denied (recruiter tried exception, it was a no). Called May Trucking but they said I waited too long after CDL school after lying to me about hiring area. "We don't do freight in NY." "But NYC was on your hiring map ma'am." "ok you waited too long after CDL school" I waited to get my Hazmat for the Schneider job before applying anywhere. Wanted to go out there with my best foot forward. LOL Those were the two companies where training seemed tolerable. I won't be yelled at either, don't blame you one bit. There's always Western. Don't screw that one up my guy... (kidding but seriously) I'm gonna go Swift and a couple others before Western, but Western it may be...
Brother, you'll need to find something local driving. No carrier will touch you under another's contract. Especially 2 training contracts. KLLM & Roehl will make sure of that i'm afraid. If you are Hell bent on driving, check with Western Express. Last option probably.
You said you had your CDL, how are you $7k in on this? Someone help me understand. I thought if you had your CDL you went out with a trainer and they paid you for WORK that you are actually doing. So they consider this "training" and you are on the hook for money? Or do they feel like sending you out with a trainer cost them so you are not in debt but you cost them so you are now a liability? This is batsht nuts to me.
