    Hi all,
I'm new to Atlanta and 6 months ago started working at a freight line. I am new to the industry, but I was thinking about after getting some more experience at the freight line, possibly pursuing being a freight broker but don't know how to start. I see there are some schools. Do y'all suggest schooling or that not exactly necessary? How did any of y'all get into freight brokerage? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I mean, you can call me a freight pimp if you want. I'm sure I've been called worse.

That said- the best way to learn is to get hired at a brokerage and learn on someone else's dime. I've said it once, twice, a hundred times. Anyone selling a school or a course or so on is just setting you up to get rooked. It's almost always a scam.
