Got my own numbers 3 years ago, first truck was an ‘89, insurance company asked if I would run an ELD, I said Nope, they said ok, and that was the end of the discussion. My rates were high, as a startup, but nothing like some of the #s I see posted on here. Sheesh. I paid 21k the 1st year, it dropped to 13k the second, I’m gonna be around 11 this year.

mines 21k this year but I also have 250k cargo that is 4K off the top, and 2 trailer unlimited miles, my 25 utility is about $100 cheaper a year then my 15 Great Dane was for whatever reason, plus my spare utility.

I don’t know if you mentioned where you live. But I don’t think you will find a company that will lease it on.Like mentioned an older truck like that the problem is readily available parts. So I would go for your own authority and keep the truck local.Depending on where you live if there’s a bigger nursery you can haul plants or brick or concrete block plant, mulch plants usually these facilities will work with single O/O guys and you can stay close to home. The drawback is that it’s close to winter and these companies slow down until spring

CFI used to as long as the truck was in good safe shape, i was company driver there in 2000-2006 but have been off the road (OTR? lol) since 2010. They are headquartered in joplin IF they're still in business.
