Does it feel like working for the FBI, CIA, or a gumshoe somedays. I feel for taxicab drivers, esp before the days of GPS, but at least they were local areas usually.

For the short time that I was back into trucking, back in 2011 With CRST, my trainer was fired in PA. CRST had to get me from PA. to AZ. A trainer and trainee that I joined up with in TN. would get me the rest of the way to AZ. This young man that was being trained absolutely had to have the GPS on to go from Memphis TN to Flagstaff AZ. On I 40 West, This is a straight shot on the way with no turns. The trainer, that I think was exceptional, with the time he took, and the patience he had with this young man, was remarkable, to say the least. So I do not know if a map would help in a case like this. The good thing is the young man was able to drive the truck, but without any direction as to where he was going. Of course I did not get involved, not my place to so. The trainer said to me he was having a tough time with his trainee. Anyway, the only time I ever got lost and scared at the same time is when I got off the I 95 and ended up at 2:00AM in downtown Baltimore MD. Even the cops had the windows and doors lock. It seemed to be a real bad part of the city, I did not want to stop and ask for directions to find my way back to the throughway. Took me about 45 min to get back on the I 95 it was kinda like being in comption in Los Angeles. Been lost plenty of times over the years, but that was the worst, back in 2003. Other than that, missing a truck stop and having to go more than fifty miles to turn around really piss ### me off. That's about it for my get lost stories. :Waypoint:
