    Unless specified by the customer, we do not cover the exhaust. Unnecessary exposure for a driver to be climbing around 12' off the ground if they don't explicitly request it.

    Are you sure he does not stuff a large "dogbone" sponge in the exhaust?
    I do that because I only climb once to install, they come out automatically at startup and "stop the wind from spinning the turbo without oil" .
    the receiver in often impressed to see it spit out at startup without the tape burnt onto the pipe

    been at it since the early 70's not lost 1 you do realize that new semi s are transported foward and backwards with uncovered stacks

    Covering a forward or sideways facing exhaust keeps the rain out of the turbo. It keeps the customer happy. It covers your arse in the event the turbo fails for whatever reason. Its not that hard to do.
