How is getting paid zipcode to zipcode even legal? Suppose the receiver is on the far end of the zipcode? You are then driving for free for what could be considerable distance?

    blairandgretchen Thanks this.

What if the receiver is right on the closest edge? Shipper too? Are you going to give back some of the money?

Find a company that pays "Practical miles" or even better "Hub miles".
Zip to Zip is HHG (Household goods) miles...Stone Age way to be paid but saves the company money..

Do your own research..document your hub miles and compare it to HHG miles.. If there's a big discrepancy then move on to greener pastures.

It's total BS. Just like HHMG miles.
Look, it's 2025, any computer can tell you exactly how many miles it is from point A to point B.
It's just an excuse to screw you.
AND you can bet real money that the carriers are charging them point to point.

Reminds me of when I used to book JB Hunt loads. Seems every short run load 50 miles short, long runs 100 short.
Didn't take me long to start bidding accordingly.

I'm not a driver, but in your example, you'd be getting the exact pay you deserve, right?

Companies the do the zipcode to zipcode are saving a lot of money while their drivers get screwed.

What else do you have to ##### about? Empty miles not being paid? Not getting paid to open and close van doors? Not being paid to fuel up the truck?
You should worry about companies paying drivers 55cpm. That’s stealing money right there. I get paid zip to zip and it’s always short 15 miles or 15 miles too many. It’s similar or the same as address to address.

Bean Jr., tarmadilo and Trucker61016 Thank this.

There you go. You’re NOT a driver. Just like Duffy knows NOTHING about trucking and has zero experience in freight relocating field

    tarmadilo and Trucker61016 Thank this.
