Based on the amount of stupidity I've seen on the road, I would say 4 wheelers get pulled over less. You don't see nearly as many trucks doing the reckless things 4 wheelers seem to get away with. But you do see some trucks act a fool also. As far as why? Trucks seem to be the easier target. It's not like you can't see a car speeding, but a truck is much larger and carries more negative attention.

    WOW!

I have been driving 30+ years and have been pulled over twice. Both were easily explained and on my way with no ticket.

From age 15 to 20, I was a hellion. I had so many speeding tickets on my record at one point, I was working just to pay for insurance.

If they aren't willing to make the "more risky" stops to deal with the potentially dangerous individuals, then they don't really need to be carrying guns with them.

I will say one thing, I spent the better part of 2 years driving in Ohio on a dedicated account. Also pulled alot of old, nasty looking oilfield equipment thru. I never got pulled over or inspected. In my opinion, it's not that they hate truckers, they just dislike when truckers do not obey the law. I didn't care for the old 55 speed limit either, but I obeyed it.

If you are following the rules and are a professional....neither is likely.

I never got randomly pulled over in 18 months of PAM. And I had some NASTY old trailers on several occasions. Only got pulled in and inspected once. And that was only because I HAD to go in.....

Done been nabbed once in my Pick Up doing Hot Shot by the HPD Dot Cops.

I live here in Ohio and I dont see that. U see more DOT in suvs because they have closed down over half the scales cause it is soooo easy to go around the scales here and they have saved the state a chunk of tax money. Lots of truck routes around the scales. But, as for someone who lives here in the middle of Ohio, I see more cars than trucks pulled over by the Hwy Patrol. DOT of course is different. Be safe out there drivers.

I drive across Ohio 5-6 nights a week. I wouldn't say they "hate" trucks. Most state roads are split 55/65. Just easier to stop a truck going 10 over the limit than a car doing 5.

Never been pulled over in either a truck or a car. Don't give cops a reason to pull you over, and they won't.
