Getting Ready for install. Few Questions?

the if and the power section of radios are separate so if the radio is properly grounded when the fuse blows the radio will be dead since the if sections are "ABOVE" ground

 

Not getting what you are saying... Ms.Jaime got it right as there are two separate boards. But Ms.Jaime did not say 2 separate power sources, or more accurately 2 seperte grounds. The two boards would minimally share a common ground through the chassis. Hence if the chassis were grounded through the screws on the mount holes to the metal mounting bracket, through the screws to the metal frame of the dash... the entire radio is grounded. Of course things like coated brackets or plastic/nylon screws could break the ground connection, but using the most common all metal components will provide enough ground to power the radio.
