another 87 days, and then you could consider going to a driving school for your CDL. Seriously. Give it at least three months before you jump into school. I get that money's tight. Trust me, I'm there on the money issue.

In the meantime, give some serious thought to professional growing. You've already got it started, and you will be treated (and paid!) alot better than any rookie driver.

You had to be stoned to come to a forum full of professional drivers and ask how to quit smoking dope. You'd have been better off smoking a fatty then sticking your head in a hornets nest. Now look what you did. Every other poster is telling you you're wasting your time and money. Go to your grow zone right now and up root every single plant, then round up all your bongs, pipes, hookas, grinders, scales, blunt wraps, that 4x8 velvet blacklight poster of a pot leaf, and throw all that crap in the trash. Just can't bring yourself to do it can you? Even CR England drug tests. They want to make sure you're on something before they let you in a truck. Ha! But seriously you should wait at least 90 days before applying to any school. Drink lots of water,beer,cranberry juice,sure-gel. A nice ten day fast wouldn't hurt either. Google the Master Cleanse lemonade diet. Good luck man.

Is the "hair folicle" test becoming THAT common these days? In 17 years of OTR.....I gave one folicle test (and I drove for a lot of companies, big, medium, and small)----you guys make it sound lke every company out there is pulling your hair out. Shut up----not everybody is gonna go drive for J.B. Hunt.

One more thing. Don't think for a second that a guy can't go from complete pot head, to SUCCESSFUL truck driver. NOBODY liked their pot more than me.....NOBODY. When I worked in a factory, I had to be stoned just to clock into that place.....I was stoned all day, every day, for five years in that crap-hole......then I quit (both smoking and the job) and went to trucking school.
I didn't give myself 3 months to clean up. In fact I gave myself one day before I went to school. I was doing Golden Seal in my hotel room just scared #hitless.....but I passed. I stayed off dope, and passed. I have stayed off dope since, and can pass.

To those guys that only THINK they know; shut the ##### up....you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I'm not sticking of for the O/P.....I think he's a moron......I am sticking up for the FACTS, because I have lived them....not just talking out of my non-knowing ### like some of you.

 

Good luck. People can change. You live in a society today where drugs don't fit in the working world. If you have a family, your thoughts should be on them instead of yourself getting a buzz.

Don't think you can beat the system because you won't. All it takes is one failed drug test and your career is ruined. You can be parked on a ramp sleeping and some drunk runs into the back of you, you will be drug tested. Guess who is going to lose everything in court when they get sued?

Whitedog, you lived in a day when drug testing could be beat. It's not that way anymore. You're basing your expertise on 17 years ago. Things are different and now that hair follicle test are cheaper, more companies are doing it. There use to be none and now the numbers are growing. Telling people to ####, blah, blah, blah and name calling is not how you deal with people. That must of carried forward from your pot smoking days.
