I dont see why not. I book partials for more than that. Doesn't happen every day but happens often enough that i got an extra 10 ft or so on my trailer and can fill it with a partial. If I'm able to do partials for 1.70 or more to the truck i can't see why an expediter cat get that on expedited freight.

Out of the ordinary I make $3 a mile sometimes but I was talking about the avarage.
-
I was also talking about the average. Anything under that isn't with the time to load and unload plus run the out of route miles. In a perfect world the partials would be right on my route and i would consider one for under 1.70 but that never happens. They are always 50 to 100 miles off route at each end.

I am not able to do partials because you can't have 2 loads from separate dispatchers. If they find out you are toast and I never had a situation where 2 loads were available from 1 dispatcher at the same time going the same way.
-
That isn't the point. I was responding to a post that said you can't get x rate in the expedited segment. That makes no sense when I'm able to get partials on mt class 8 at that rate that could easily be run by a small expeditor instead. -

Do you know any company in Canada where I can get the equivalent to the MC in the USA?
-
No MC in Canada and no DOT #. Carriers have either a provincial (intraprovincial) or federal (interprovincial) CVOR (in Ontario, Safety Fitness Certificate elsewhere, except Quebec... of course... but I'm too lazy to look it up)

Some of that is a little inflated I think. For instance nobody says you have to go out and buy a $50k sprinter van which is basically a brand new one. I wouldn’t do that. Nor would I bother decking it out with custom comfort stuff for big bucks. That being said I can’t see it being lucrative enough at those rates to be worth the hassle or liability either. Better off with decent paying company job you can live with.
