Thanks everybody. I guess I should have been more specific about 'losing' my job. Actually it s*cked so bad I quit so I'm not eligible for WIA. I also found that since I've only been in Utah 6 months, tuition at SLCC would be three times the 'resident' rate, which would make that program more expensive than both Roadmaster and Sage :smt076.
I can appeal for residency, but no guarantee. I visited with Sage today and given my situation they may be a better bet. I felt pretty positive about them. I'm keeping my options open, though.
Thanks again.

iiime -- the lack of recent Class A experience will probably give you a few problems. Check with the companies you are interested in to see how they would deal with that. There are several things that companies would do in your situation. First, they will probably give you a driving test to see where your skills are in a Class A vehicle. Depending how you do, they may have you take a refresher Class A course then drive with a trainer to make sure your skills are where they need to be. Or, if you do OK on the driving test, they may make you drive with a trainer for a short time anyway. It all depends on the company. I would be wary of any company that would put you in a truck right away though, the better companies will make sure your Class A skills are up to snuff before sending you out on your own. Like I said, it is best to call the companies you are interested in to see how they would handle it. Best of luck to you.
