Your friend needs to see an actual sleep doctor. A pulmonologist may not have the time. Had he actually had a sleep study done and gotten the machine?

The medical examiners won't accept a report that shows how often he has been in compliance by itself. It has to be a fax from the pulmonologist.

With mine they just print it out and give it to me, but it's signed by the doctor. It should only take 30 seconds to send a fax. Have your friend explain the urgency of it being read and faxed.

Find a place that only deals with sleep disorders. Then they have no excuse not to send it.

I don't know the legalities, but the doctoray have to do it by law. If you feel inclined call the state DOT and ask or call OOIDA and see if they have an attorney to talk to, but I'm not sure the pulmonologist can refuse.

Don't quote me on it. I'm not a lawyer but they have to get certified by the state to conduct physicals.

Ever who is the sleep doctor is they have time to print out sleep report. You can’t wait till last minute to do it. The DME can print out a report also. If you have cpap with internet connection you can get report from the app and email or print it out yourself.
