What do you mean where did he go? You all berated him and beat him up, and then proceeded to treat him like a red-headed step child with measles. What did you want him to do? Come back for more abuse?

I parked at my parents house a couple of years ago and code enforcement told me to move it. I've asked the cops to park there before and they said it was ok. I never leave trash anywhere and always shop or eat at those businesses or any other small non chain truck stop (mostly). The parking lot was not crowded at all and like i said i would've slept in it had there not been tornado warnings the night before. I mean really what was the worst that could've happened if they just called my company to call me and come get it in less than 10 minutes. I wouldn't be as pissed if it were 100 or 200 but that much to take less than a mile down the road really got me worked up. Company is taking it out of my paycheck divided over next 4 weeks

I have parked at strip malls in the back out of anyone's way during business hours only because there was no truck parking allowed in the streets. Trucks usually deliver through the back alleys/driveways. What I have done is always leave a good size note on the drivers window with a phone number if I needed to be contacted and also write that I'm patronizing one of the stores.

Has anyone ever come out of a grocery store pushing a cart to find their truck towed?

I usually do this, or leave a business card from the store/lot manager, or my own business card. One time leaving my business card when I was parked in a municipality lot near Vancouver, BC (think the Bay area in CA--virtually no truck parking), the maintenance and facilities manager was so appreciative that I left a way to get ahold of me he allowed me to continue to park there even though it was technically a no parking area and he towed all other trucks.
