So I wonder if I have the right to complain when I park my half ton in my neighbour's driveway and he calls a towtruck on me......

Complain all you want. Matter of fact, put a goofy hat on, and go march in front of the dealership. Won't make a lick of difference except making you look like an idiot. Lol

Exactly. Park where you're supposed to and your vehicle won't magically disappear.

Lots of faultless drivers in this thread. Most parking lots have a dozen or more vehicles in them at any given time that aren't conducting business inside.

Like none of you have ever parked at a truck stop and left it over a Christmas or thanksgiving. Really? SMH

I parked at a truck stop just last month and left it unattended for 12 full hours. My house is 2 miles away, and my GF had the day off. So yes, I've left my truck unattended before, and I delivered that night.

Never had a need to do that.

I have parked for shorter periods of time at places I know I shouldn't be parked though. Had I been ticketed or towed I wouldn't be on here complaining, I'd pay it and that would be it.

I feel bad for the OP but he should have known the risk.

Correction. I got a parking ticket for sleeping in the Meijer parking lot in Woodhaven MI. But, in my defense, there were no signs visible from the driveway I used to get in. First solo trip for Swift, so I was beyond broke, therefore couldn't afford to park at the J.

    For future reference....
There is a rest area on 275, and of course the Swift terminal both about 15 miles from there.

Nope. Every single place I parked that was not designed for trucks (truck stop, rest area) I called ahead and asked permission first.
