Ok I did something stupid and left my truck parked in my yard which was fine until it rained and it sank about 6 inches on the steers so basically there in a whole and my drives are just spinning. I've tried digging around the steers and even jacking it up and putting 2x4's under but wasn't able to jack it up much being that the jack would just sink in the mudd. I have a little 3 ton floor jack and it would not lift it much anyways. i bought a 6 ton bottle jack but the truck just presses the thing into the ground. I've put blocks under it and it presses them into the ground also.. other options i've considered are these pieces of channel iron straped onto the drives I've seen on youtube, and or a heavy duty winch connected to a tree around 100 feet away.. of course i would have to buy the winch and 80 feet of chain. I know you can call a wrecker to come out and winch it out for $350 bucks or so but not sure they'd be able to make it down my 1/4 mile long dirt drive way that's some what muddy at the moment. either way i would rather use my money for some tools that i would at least have something to show for my money rather then giving it to the wrecker guy.. anyways thought id post this before i go any further with it thinking maybe yall may have another idea.. oh and if getting a winch from harbor freight or something how big of one would you think i would need? and would it be better to use a snatch as far as saving some money on having to get a larger more powerful winch otherwise with out the snatch.. I tried to upload some pic's but sight said something to do with security issue..

Throw down a bunch of pallets, move forward until cracking and snapping stops. Remove mess, check all tires.

That was then. Today's solution is to rig a 10 ton tow find the tractor and stake that tractor in the mud using it's hydraulic wheel tire age pointed into the ground to move it 8 inches pull the stakes, bore em into the ground for the next pull. Make sure your tow vehicle is in neutral.

Them 2x6 or whatever are going to do one or both- sink in the mud and snap.

If your going to use wood? Go to a sawmill and get some thick oak 3 or 4 x 12

Does anybody actually realize how heavy that front end is? I was jacking up my rear on top of a sidewalk and it was pushing the sidewalk down with the ground dry.

If my calculations are right i shouldn't be out more then 150 bucks after all said and done. appreciate all your suggestions there giving me lots of ideas and keeping me motivated to get her done as Larry the cable guy would say..

OR, just pick up a Badlands 12K lb winch for $279 (might be $289) with the coupon, it comes with 65 ft of 3/8" cable on the drum. Then get a 30K lb ($30) strap or 30K tree saver ($12) to wrap around the tree and make a mount on the truck for the winch. Or get the 30K tree saver combined with the $35 replacement winch cable. You might pay more up front but throw an ad on Craigslist winching people out and you'll easily make the extra money spent back and then some. With your heavy truck on solid ground, there won't be much of anything that you wouldn't be able to unstuck when people call you. Plus, you won't have to worry about being sore from working that come-a-long.

No kidding 12,000 on the steers the book says. It wasn't that muddy when I tried to get her out but it was not perfectly dry either. It take a bit to dry up around here depending in the whether which has not been cooperating here in Texas lately. I guess I could've been a little more patient but afraid that it would sink even more and mess up that skirting/front bumper as it's already about 2" from being on the ground.

Lol nice.. yeah I think the sales men usually have to go with you on those test drives these days and I'm about 30 miles from the nearest dealer.
