exactly and that's the main reason i want to get it out because of the chance as you said it would sink deeper and tare up my bumper skirting or whatever you call it. it only has around 2 more inches to sink were it would start getting into it..

I agree, yanking especially with a chain is a recipe for disaster..

A good size 4X, and a heavy tow rope or strap might surprise you. With a chain you tear stuff up when getting a bit of a run at it, but the elasticity of a heavy tow rope won't do damage (within reason) and acts as a bit of a spring.SAR Thanks this.

interesting, i've been thinking about doing something like that. waiting until it rained so there was water in the holes then put cement mix in there mixing it up and letting it set up but i always wondered if it didn't work out what a pain in the butt it would be to clear it out lol.
-
right, that makes sense, but it would have to be one heck of a heavy duty strap lol.

A 30,000 lb. tow strap can be purchased at our local farm store for around 30 bucks, if memory serves.joseph1853 and SAR Thank this.

Yep, snatch pulling won't hurt a thing if you're using a snatch pulling strap. The snatch straps have no metal anywhere, so even if it snaps no one gets hurt. I got the strongest one Tractor Supply carries and it has been worth its weight in gold.
I'm still hoping you're neighbor can get you out for only the cost of a 6 pack. Any idea the size of his tractor? I would think anything 60hp or up should do it. Maybe even a little less?Oxbow Thanks this. -
And my strap wasn't cheap. I think it was around $60? But if mine broke today, I'd be back down at the store rather than be caught somewhere without it.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Haha, if he wasn't down a 1/4 mile driveway, this approach would probably work.tucker, joseph1853 and Oxbow Thank this.
