Hahaha. Those are probably the only 2 plow trucks in the state too . Lol
We got a message thismorning saying that nobody made it to the terminal today and ones that are there can't leave .

People down South brace for the worse with just a trace of snow, here in Iowa that's nothing. But we don't have the traffic like Atlanta does either.

Yeah and the plow drivers are still training, truck #2 has his blade up and has it facing the wrong way. Yesterday he was picking up road kill off the shoulder, today he is a frozen precipitation removal engineer!

It's ice that is braced for. Not snow. And one can't really compare Iowa and Atlanta. One is as you stated, the traffic. Another is the weather conditions are quite different between the two, as I'm sure you know.

This summer they will be back to complaining about the fallacy of global warming. I think it's funny. They are getting a trivial amt and the sky is falling!

...... and come August, the people up north will stay home & shut the cities & business's down because its 90 degrees. Down here, we will be shaking our heads & saying the same thing about yall, that you have posted in the above posts.

I remember I went to Chicago back in '05 or '06 & there was a so called heat wave of about 100. People were dying (no kidding.. people were actually dying up there) & no one went to work. We were lucky we even got our load dropped.. we were like WTH???

Yall dont have air conditioning... cause you don't need it. Its not cost efficient to purchase because it never gets above 70 or 80 up there.. Oh sure, maybe once or twice a year. But you know you cant buy a whole central air system & have it installed for one or two hot days a year...

Same thing with us, its easier to just shut down the south for a couple of days than buy 500 snow plows & other equipment for one city to deal with an ice storm that we are only gonna have once or twice a year... if any at all... for several years.

    Come on guys... :biggrin_25511:
