So you as the driver should know this but I will ask you anyway ? When they ask you to cheat on your logbooks why dont you just say no ? Matter of fact what part of cheating on your logbook do you not understand is a criminal offense. ? They will put your ### in jail if you get caught cheating & crash and/ or hurt/ kill people...Yea I get it you need a job to feed the family..well if your gonna break the law just sell dope or rob banks at least you'll be home everynight..Any trucking company that asks me to violate any laws wil probably fire me because I wont play thier games with my CDL & ability to have a livelihood..they are bringing me a service trk for a burnt out marker light

They don't ask you to cheat, it's the game they try to play. Say you just got back to the yard, your out of hours for the day,, you call in and they tell you to be somwhere in the morning to make a delivery, say 8 hours away, you still need to take your 10 break. You tell dispatch you can't make it by the time they give you and they say we got to make this delivery can't you find away to make this happen. You know how dispatch is, if you don't help them the next week will be crap! So they don't tell you to cheat but read between the lines. And yes I don't want to play thoes game too, I also have to keep my CDL clean, that is why I left Gilsters. I agree it is against the law to cheat on the log book, I also want to drive with a company that is above board. I was just stating Gilster Mary-Lee is not a company for me and why. Just try to tell other drivers how I seen this company, This fourm is to report a bad company, I THINK?? I think all of us drivers want the same thing, A good safe truck, good pay, and a company that is above board and that we all get home to spend time with our family. Stay Safe

One I would be embarrassed to admit calling a service truck for a marker light. One time I was out west taking that cuttoff above Denver over to 80w and a trooper called on the Cb to a Gilster truck "Slow down driver". Driver replied "I was only doing XX." Trooper, "I can turn around and show it to you on the radar if you need me to".

I'd always heard that they NEVER bought new equipment, only used. Any truth to that?

I have heard that from some of there drivers out of perryville mo area when passing through. One guy was in a 2000 kw t600 and this was in 09 or so. He said they had just got it. And that is ok as long as they are maintained but let them go down and they are worthless.

Most trucks come from auctions and some from Henderson, Stevenson and so on. A mix of everything out there.

It doesn't help that drivers don't do their part in taking care of the trucks at all. My truck is always better than when I got in it.
