    When I was a boy, aunt Winnie use to put Vaseline on the rubber door seals of her Falcon. Seem to work fine keeping the rubber soft. Old timers had old ways lol….

    If something has been sitting for a fair amount of time.. and it is leaking around a O ring I have taken the Oring out and coated it with vaseline put it back together and 9 time out of 10 it will seal up as long as the O ring is damaged

    I've been spitting on glad hand rubbers for WAY too many years! LOL.

    I'll hit them with silicone spray when i think about it, but spit does the job in a pinch.

    Indeed it does, spit works in a pinch for many things…..
