Just got through with day 1 of orientation today and only had to do the driving portion as well (17 miles) with no pretrip. The guy that did the driving portion with me was cool. I think they just recruit some available drivers that happen to be waiting in the drivers lounge to do the test. The DOT physical that I did during the interview day was easily the easiest that I have had to do compared to Roehl and Crete. Basically only physical part of it was lifting a crate with 75 lbs and placing it back down on the floor.

Picked out my freight shaker today as well. We have 5 folks in orientation and had 12 trucks available from which to choose so a fairly good selection.

Had the good fortune to meet our resident Truck Forum Poly info guru as well and had a nice meal with him. So far so good:)

    chemster and jdrentzjr Thank this.

This tour of duty had me delivering in University Park,IL then on to Crest Hill,IL where I picked up a Frito-Lay load that went to Coon Rapids,MN wher it was a drop/hook. From there I went to our Cottage Grove,MN and pick up a two stop load going to dairy farms in Bridgeland,UT and Rupert,ID. I then went to Ontario,OR to load onions that I delivered last night in Dallas. 5048 miles in 9 days with 6 extra stops with no days off.

Today I had to get a DOT recertification physical so I took the day off. Got to meet Majestyk today as well during his orientation at lunch then had a good dinner together.
