It either that or they're more desperate for drivers than people think.

Could you imagine how much worse of a SOB I'd be over there now that I have experienced "post great-recession" trucking at another company outside the Happy Valley compound...

Yeah....I made a pretty good co-pilot. My official title was "onboard nutrition specialist", and my only other duty besides fixing meals on the run was to nag. I did both jobs exceptionally well!!! He said it made him feel like he was home. :biggrin_25519:

When I backed in to the tiny fuel stop in Artesia, NM a white pick-up pulled up beside me and asked if I had a delivery for his trucking company(he told me the name, I just forgot what it was). Unfortunately I didn't. Turns out he ordered some of our product before Thanksgiving and was hoping I was there to deliver. I wish I were, because he was willing to open his place up and unload on Sunday afternoon so I could get on to my next stop...who'da thought we would have 2 customers in a town this small. Oh well, maybe next time

Rolling empty to Poly West. I will have officially visited all of our manufacturing locations within the first 2 1/2 months. Truck is doing ok...but now the unloader(spitter) on the air dryer is leaking. Still able to drive it but I have to watch how I pull on a DOT scale. Hopefully it won't get worse before I get some more miles.

Hope everyone's thanksgiving was good , mine was fine , but somehow my Colon got blocked up badly. Don't make me go into dirty or shall I say not so dirty details , until the block moves on. I'm definitely gonna need a Colon exam this is the 2nd time in 40 months I had it stop working. Not a good sign and I'm 52 so the ER doc gave me some static about how I should pull my head out of my you know what , that maybe it's stopping things.
Hint Hint ... got to love her bed side manner though.
Y'all be safe out there .

If we were working for Crete I would say something crude involving getting screwed by dispatch so often...but since we're with Poly...I won't

Get well. I worked with a driver-turned-mechanic where I got my 1st taste of trucking. He had the same thing happen. They gave him a little red pill and told him to go into that little room and then take the pill...within minutes he was camped out on the throne. Never knew such a drug existed, but it would make me think twice about playing any practicle jokes on a doctor.

Yesterday they wanted to have me drink this liquid , that they say can knock a bowling ball out a ur ace , the dr. said no cause he's got suppository and softeners that continue to work for 48 hrs , what the heck does he know , they aren't doing jackchit ! But trying to convince a DR you know more than him is like trying to convince 4 wheelers to behave around trucks ... waste of time !

This is not a Poly based comment...just a random thought that drifted through my feeble brain the other day.

With India sending rockets to Mars...does this mean our calls to tech support are going to take even longer? I mean, to get data from NASA's rovers to earth takes like 45 minutes.

"Hello, this is Bob...how may I help you....over"
