I think the $59 per diem is so Poly doesn't have to pay matching taxes to Uncle Sam. It's what you're allowed to deduct from your taxes come April 15th if they didn't pay you a per diem. I'm not sure you can deduct that allowance since they're paying a non-taxed amount. Not sure how the taxes work yet. It's my first year

Unfortunately, you are already using the best method of getting a response. Email is the only way I communicated with HR when I was trying to apply. Just keep sticking with it, hopefully you'll get an answer soon.

Long day. Woke up early in hopes of getting unloaded a little early but no love there. Went to my next p/u destination which was a warehouse along the waterfront in Seattle. Had to blind side back into the place and then jack knife into the dock area. Finally got loaded there and had to take a couple of back roads to dodge the scales as the load was heavier than I was told it would be. Thought I had it pretty well balanced but didn't want to take the chance. Drizzling, over cast up and down mountain driving day:) Still managed to knock out a tad over 400 miles which still sets me up to be in San Antonio by Thursday night with 3 long days in front of me. Hitting some of my favorite back roads tomorrow in Utah which is always nice.
