Push in the yellow break button, while keeping the red break button pulled out. Make sure you trailer breaks are adjusted.

I tried that and it shut off in 15 minutes .
Another driver showed me a way with the cruise control button, the words "engine throttle" illuminate on the speedometer. I tried it and it worked but a few minutes later down the road it didn't work. I will play with it throughout the day.

I drove a 4 yr old KW T680 that I could keep running by jamming a stick on the throttle so it would idle around 700 rpm. Ran all night. Newer ones won't.

Yes some are designed to shut off once the truck motor idles at below a certain amount of revs the idea is you'll need to keep the revs up to a higher level I'd usually adjust mine to about 1100 rpm as running an engine to long at low revs is not good for the motor.

No chance Im chaining up. Chains are for getting you out of a situation, Not for trying to get you through a dangerous situation. And, anyone would be psyched to have a Seattle >>> Maryland run. That Costco DC isnt great by any means. I believe it's in Upper Marlboro. The Costco DC in NJ is much better

I know this thread hasn't had any new discussions in a while. Can anyone tell me how it's going over there? How's the equipment holding up? Are they keeping you busy? Is the South Carolina plant running guys good out of there? Any new or good info would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Poly is not the typical trucking company you think of when you think of trucking. Basically its easy to get 2k miles a week and hard to get 3k. I seem to get 2500 for 2 weeks and 2300 the next 1 or 2 weeks depending how long i stay out.
To answer your questions the equipment is ok... recently got a 100 new internationals. They get some new trucks every 2-3 years. They will fix anything wrong with older equipment so thats good but they can be slow.

Im not exactly sure how the Carolina regional guys do their thing but out of that plant they have about 7 locations they go to from 200-700 mile loads.

Poly bought a small scrap plant in westminster south Carolina so I imagine most of the regional guys deliver and get scrap back to westminster then shuttle an empty to Chester.

Poly isnt what it use to be but its still close enough that im ok with it. Most people that have a hard time at poly are guys that are use to being told what to do by a dispatcher and or someone who thinks they are gonna get tons of miles.

On otr I just hit 80k last year on 100k-105k miles. Anymore questions feel free to ask. Sorry about not getting back with you last week when you reached out... I forgot about it lol.
