I've had it with the cheap squeegees at the fuel lanes... they are useless with just water when you just went through farm lands and managed to collect several pounds' worth of B.O.B.'s(Bits O Bugs).....

Does anyone have a good idea for a foaming type glass cleaner that actually works on bugs, preferably with some sort of a long reach spray? Thinking like a 'scrubbing bubbles' kind of solution.....

Is there a foaming/scrubbing solution that can be put into a jug like you'd use to kill weeds with some type of pump handle to add pressure?

Mac's glass cleaner. Available at NAPA. Aerosol can then wipe off with paper towels

Wet the windshield, then apply Dawn to the squeegee and wash as normal.

In my experience, Dawn and water don't do well in a spray bottle.

Best thing I've ever come across was a good foaming glass cleaner and really fine steel wool, wipe it away with paper towels. Unfortunately it makes scrubbing your bugs about 3 times the work it should be.

I wash the window. Let it soak and wash and soak and wash. Or scrub. 3x. Then squee gee.

It's not perfect but gets the job done.

I used to carry a telescoping pole brush. It worked well. So well, in fact, other drivers would ask to use it. I also carried a coiled garden hose which drivers would also request to use.

One guy sprayed off the floor on the INSIDE of his tractor. Teams. Well, you know, teams.

But, that was back when I had a 579, and I could put more crap and junk under the bunk. Nowadays, I'm driving a Freightliner, wearing flip flops, and blocking fuel islands.

What I do is wet the windshield with the squeegee, then let it “soak” while I walk around and do the side windows. Then I open the hood and climb up onto the steer tires and scrub the windshield with a short handle squeegee. Climbing up there gives you much better scrubbing power. After letting it soak a few minutes the bugs wipe off much easier. I can usually get all that done by the time the fuel pumps click off. Then I check the oil and stuff while the DEF pump runs. It’s my little fuel island routine LOL.

If the squeegee water is particularly nasty, I will just spray it down with ordinary window cleaner, then use the squeegee.

Does anyone know how well 'Simple Green' works as a WW fluid against bugs that don't have the brains to GTFO the way?

I use simple green in a spray bottle. Spray it on and let it soak a couple of minutes while I start fueling. Works pretty good.
