What have I gotten myself into? Halfway through the first week!!! It's going good, except getting lost and pulled over in steel mill east Chicago. Cop was nice, just wanted to check me out. I got lost because I didn't think u needed to proper trip plan my route before leaving the consignee. Not a good idea especially in Chicago!!

Tarp is tight though, just took almost 2 hours... Haha

Just take your time Steveo it will all come to you. I'm in Gary, IN for the night. Drove through Chicago today, not too bad as it's Saturday.

Just got to the Internet for the first time this week. Got a run up to Winnipeg, MB. It was 12 degrees in Fargo when I got fuel with a windchill of -2. Had to untarp my glass load outside then back it into the building. Got a load of 2x4s coming back, no tarp required and that a great thing as I had a hard time getting the straps on in 30 mph guests, the tarp would have been very hard to deal with.

I have a suggestions for truck stops. I think you would be very popular if you installed urinals at the fuel pumps. I mean it's just back wards that you have to fuel then pee. Why not get both done at the same time? When you've been behind the wheel for hours and then step out into the cold you just about wet yourself, and then have to stand around for 10 mins pumping fuel, then pull the truck up and so on..

I know that's true, just trying to make it a little easier for my fellow drivers that's all. I could have asked for fuel island attendants. That would be cool, just pull in "Hey top her off, check all the fluids, empty the trash, wash the windows and come and get me when you're done" Christmas is just around the corner you know.

Funny thing about it, that's the way it used to be. And don't forget my gold bond trading stamps. Sometimes I sure do miss the old days. And don't forget a dollar off my meal with 50 gallons or more.
