    It won't take that long...lol. I don't even have a parking ticket, clean criminal background, no dui/dwi or drug/alcohol issues and hold a secret clearance. The only problem I'm having is I have been driving for the DoD for the last 6 years. Everyone wants verifiable OTR experience within the last 3 years.

    Wife and two kids, well you already have a job then. I'm in the glass division and get home every other weekend as a minimum. You can stay out as long as you like but just do the two week gig. If you go with the transportation division you will get home every weekend or just about. But a week end can be as short as one night. They like to say you will "get through the house" on most weekends. Every once in a while I get home during the week as we a lot of freight coming out of the Chicago area. There are also dedicated opportunities and those guys get home even more. Talk to the recruiters and see whats going on, can't hurt.
