And a bad case of the lazy. I got the time. I can budget the money. But I'm gonna have to dig deep to work up the effort. Consider i had a new head, turbo, ported and polished exhaust manifold and in frame kit sitting in my garage over a year before i finally tore the engine down.

That where we differ. I do all my own work. Still alot less than a new glider.
-
Ha ha. My shocks and dogbone torsion bars sat in the back seat of my ford for something like 6 months.

Yeah, like I said, I'm only a parts changer, if I go too far I could probably cost myself a lot more money.blade, Orangees and Superhauler Thank this.

See I sent mine to Cat for the inframe and went on vacation, fishing. So I gotcha beat on the lazy side. The wife had a list of honey do's. Told her I couldn't do them cause I needed to spend quality time with our son.blade, blacklabel, Orangees and 1 other person Thank this.

@Guntoter I believe it is illegal to go backwards and put an engine into a truck that is older than the truck (doesn't meet the emission laws as of the date the truck was built). I'm just saying. Can't say that I wouldn't do it anyway.
Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
Emissions on big trucks follows the engine not the truck.cnsper Thanks this.

Ummmm it is done every day. That is what a glider kit is. @johndeere4020 is correct about the emissions standards are based on the year of the motor not the year of the truck.Ruthless, spyder7723 and johndeere4020 Thank this.
