According to Mr. Fitzgerald, their trucks are FET free. At least that is what he says in one of his videos. Also, Peterbilt will soon be building 579 gliders instead of the 386.

Some of them are FET free and some of them are not. But the finer details of that don't sell trucks. FET TAX FREE is a gimmick that sells trucks. It would be wise to consult with tax professional familiar with the trucking industry to be certain if FET is due on that new glider or not. Otherwise you might get a friendly letter from the IRS.

Not instead of. Its in addition to.bigred81 Thanks this.

They must be expecting the glider business to continue to be strong going forward.

Idk about that, but they aren't going to discontinue offering the 389. The w900 and long hood pete (359/379/389) have been the top 2 owner operator/independent trucks on the market for nearly 50 years. This would be like ford saying they are discontinuing the Mustang.

What's Fitzgerald asking for a w900 with a 84 inch studio with a Detroit speced out nicely but not over the top with extras.
-
579's are cool. I've seen some nice ones.
-
Or like Chevy saying they're planing to discontinue the Corvette. "nah we don't need any more of those"spyder7723 Thanks this.

And the Camero and Firebird. Oh wait.......
-
The only ones that bought those were because they couldn't afford a real car. It's been 40 years since there was a camaro worth owning.
