I own and drive a W900L all my vehicles less than 26k are Fords. I'm just messin with ya.
But they will only make a W9 as long as it's profitable. Or If the gov. mandates that trucks get 10mpgs you can kiss the hoods goodbye.

Here's 2 examples. I can't quite figure the difference, but there's almost a $20,000 difference.

Bet $15,000 of that difference is the Yellow motor instead of the Detroit
-
That's it! We have a winner. I completely missed that. That's must be new, I've only seen Fitzgerald trucks with Detroit's.tommymonza Thanks this.

They do N14 and C-15's optionally. Series 60 is the base engine.

I got my quote back: I eliminated a lot of stuff that was more "want" than need. Still come to $120k before engine and trans :/
BoostedTeg and 77fib77 Thank this. -
I didn't say they would discontinue the 389, it is the 386 which I believe they will stop selling since it isn't in normal production any longer. I don't work for Pete, but that is what I was told.

386...which makes makes perfect sense. The 386 and kw t2000 were always their worse sellers. The market they expected for them never materialised.
I misread your first post on it. My mistake. That's what i get for multitasking.BoostedTeg and bigred81 Thank this. -
I think Fitzgerald says the 386 gets .5 mpg better than the 389. Hardly enough to make people jump at it. It took quite a bit of engineering to make the 579 and the T660 compatible with older engine electronics according to Fitzgerald.

Is that for a W9 or 389? My local peterbilt dealer quoted me $90k for a rolling chassis 389 Pete.
