Not nostalgia at all. That 70k was a company in the midwest that does all the work for you. I have heard through like three people about them but have never had the need to look them up. The quoted the guy 70k to refurbish his Pete.

I only need three comfort items, heat, A/C and an air ride seat.

So could I send my Cascadia somewhere and have them pull the engine and dpf and drop a 12.7 in it? Are there such places that can do this for a reasonable price?

You cannot legally swap an older motor into a new truck. Disconnecting any emissions equipment carries a substantial fine if you are caught .

    Roberts450 and Highrisk21 Thank this.

That being said, one can usually find a small shop that might be able to do that. I have not found any area outside of the coasts that are checking anything. And even if some area in between decided to check, it might be because the driver opened their fat mouth and led them to do it.

Folks are disabling emissions stuff on their diesels right and left, from pickups to Class 8's. The key is to just keep your mouth shut. And of course, you have to avoid shops with OEM ties. You will be totally limited to independent repair shops for anything related to the motor. Same idea if you drop in a Pre-EGR motor in place of an emissions one.

No. But you could do it yourself and never ever have any ramifications. The epa is not gonna come to your house and open your hood.

You would also need one of the wiring harnesses. They can be purchased from some of the companies building Gliders. Not sure who all is doing the Cascadia.

I figure they buy them from another vendor just like everything is done these days. Not quite 2 years back i was looking into building my own glider, using my existing engine tranny and rears, and my searching led me to a company out in Arizona(think it was Arizona anyway)that made wiring harnesses for everything you could imagine. And if they didn't already have one for your specific set up they would make it.

Wasn't that Kustom Truck? I think they are are big into wiring harnesses. I know they have a kit for installing a Fulller Autoshift in most available gliders.

Harrison is the only one doing Cascadia gliders I thought. Haven't checked in a while. Recently was at Harrison in Des Moines and they had a batch of Cascadia gliders ready to go.
