If you pull a motor out of a truck that’s not a glider you have to replace it with a same year or newer year engine…..
lots of people do it tho.

The issue would likely be breaking down on the road and having to find a shop that will work on a non-compliant truck. Those shops are becoming harder to find.

Yeah why bother. I'd just run a good ELD. It is worth the savings on headaches and just not having to buy DEF alone saves $12k a year IIRC.
