It's time those engines be rebuilt. I'd think.

In 93 had a new flc with a 12.7 pulling 5-9's A-train flatbed doubles. Showed a pic to detroit rep. Asked about extended oil drains that they claimed you could do. When he seen pic, he recommended to just keep doing the 10k service. 5k grease, 10k oil and grease, its cheap insurance, and things still wear out.

Something else to consider is financing a glider unless the buyer is paying cash? Know it was significantly different than purchasing a new truck a few years ago. Much higher down payment & fewer lenders seemed to be the case around 2011/2012 time frame. Maybe that has changed recently? Would assume a glider may take a hit on resale or a smaller percentage of buyers may be able to get financing for it.

That's quite a bit much I think as power and torque. Being n14 seem to fret the block and crack around 550 hp setting. But perhaps it's all about who is driving and how.

I know about the fretting, just havent had any problems yet. And your correct about the driver. It was my fathers, 49 years owner op. Wish he was still here, there was more for me to learn from him. Never seen many guys drive that easy and steady. I am still trying to become that good.

I'm learning all on my own. My family all became Michigan log truck workers, just before I went OTR.

That's all I did was change oil every 12,000 miles with a gallon of the taboo lucas oil stabilizer.Only thing that was wrong with it was a rear main seal leak.
