Coronado is a nice truck as far as looks go but how do they hold up over time?
My assumption would be the build quality would be pretty close to the Columbia minus all the bells and whistles.
Glider or rebuild/inframe

I don’t think gliders are going to lose nearly as much as a normal truck. Maybe they would if they were still being pumped out by the thousands, but that’s not the case today. Scarcity will keep them propped up for some time.

A simple inframe on a 60 series shouldnt cost 20k either. More like 10-12k on avg. In my neck of the woods. That leaves another 8k budget for tires, suspension, etc for that 15k truck.
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
Is a glider truck really a "new truck" columbias haven't been made in years. The serial number on the 12.7s on some gliders are from the 1990s. The gliders seem to be holding there value more then the emmession trucks for sure.

I seen some Columbias gliders last year that were 2017's when I was shopping for mine...

Yes the truck is new with an old drivetrain. Columbia’s have been made up until very recently, and they still could be making them, but only as gliders. Just like the old Coronado.

There’s a pile of 2021 Columbia’s on Truckpaper.

800 Kitty's ? I call BS. The OM would never approve that . -
The manufacturer doesn’t have to approve what engine you’re putting in. All you’d have to tell them is what brand.

Used gliders are still bringing stupid money. Was looking at a 14 WS with a cat and 550k on the clock. Still asking $95k. Kind of leaves one wondering when you see a nice 2019 w900l with a Cummins X15 and only 40k miles roll through an auction for $105k. You might be able to find a deal on a Coronado with a Detroit .
