    looking into a glider w900 studio and wanted to see if anyone has bought this truck from fitz main concern being the weight the sales rep claims it weighs 18480 pounds and would.like to know if there is any truth to this .please share your mpgs as well

    That's probably sticker weight. When you get all your junk in it and full load of fuel it will probably be closer to 20k.

    The w9s and old t600s are just plain heavy, the w900l I'm in now (cat 3406e with 13 speed) shows curb weight at 17500, add 240gal of fuel and your gear... so he's probably telling the truth

    yea leaning towards it or a combo in some cases according to sale reps the combos are within 300 pounds.as the alluminum a boyd bros rep did a video saying alluminums actually has a longer life span than steal. which is why there chamging out there whole fleet plus weight savings

    The w900l I am in now when paired with a reitenour 48' all aluminum (maximiser?) Equipped for service with 3 tarps, 12 chains/binders/8 4x6s /8 coil racks/150lbs of my tools/20 pc 4" straps / 10 2" straps
    Weighs in at 30500, no headache rack though
    Bosses combo stepdeck (transcraft 53) bumps me down to 32500

    Thanks ill be carring around about the same. debating on caring just one set of 6ft ultra light tarps to cut about 140 also looking into a fixed fifth weel ive read it will save another 200 pounds... i havent looked into the maxmiser whats the empty weight? i have researched the big bubba tho with ramps and wood deck it was going to be around 11200-11300
