Does Proficient Auto Logistics,United Road and USAL have enough capacity to replace Jack Cooper's trucks between Ford and GM??

Not likely but if the rates are kept high, which I am now hearing are going to be high, any Jack Cooper driver will be able to go to most companies and make as much or more than they made before. Jack Cooper hasn’t paid fully into the pension for years so many of the drivers could actually be better off away from Cooper with a good 401k and reasonable health insurance.

There’s also a few Dedicated fleets GM has that they can deploy at will. My phones turned off till Monday , but I’m sure there’s more than 3 voicemails

I am guessing when the money is right your phone turns back on! Lol
Or maybe you got so much this week you don’t have any more room in your wallet.

I had a busy week. Empty 700 miles to Portland to pickup an mis -shipped unit at the port, then drove it 80 miles back into a Canadian port , then 700 miles back home empty. With that kind of stress I deserve a full weekend off lol

The financial liability on Jack Cooper's part may have caused Ford and GM to drop them. Especially when not long after exiting bankruptcy Jack Cooper bought Moore Transport and even put in a bid for Yellow Corp later while cutting pension costs...sad to see them go. Unions have set the floor for wages in the past now what purpose do they serve??

I agree Jack Cooper has been mismanaged and very likely the reason Ford got rid of them. If they couldn’t make it on the revenue they were receiving, they wouldn’t ever make it.
I am a Teamster at heart but I am in business to make the most money for the least amount of work and currently that is non union. It was union for me the first 27 years. Don’t even think about working for UPS or Cassens without a Union or many other companies. So yes there is definitely still a huge need for unions in my opinion.
