The most chat you are going to hear is on ch 19. This is where all the truckers are and a few bases. You might be able to help someone looking for "local info" meaning directions. What kind of radio and antenna do you have? Base or mobile? Have a good day.

I'd say any channel with people on it would be good for a beginner.

Maybe try channel 19 at a truck stop. You can sometimes find some interesting chatter going on. Just key up and say something.

38 LSB (if you have a sideband radio) during skip is often crowded, but good. 37 LSB or 39 LSB might be less congested.

I'm surprised you can get on channel 6 unless you live close to a few operators or you have 20kw to use on your CB at your discretion. I've only chatted once on 6 using a stock 4 watt radio, and that was because there were two locals nearby. But often times channel 6 is where the big watt strappin guys are, and you pretty much have to have as much as they have to talk.

just walk into a truckstop restaurant and yell "BREAK 19 CAN I GET A RADIOCHECK???" at the top of your lungs.

Don't think God listens to the CB, so you may have better luck going to Church to try and get a hold of him...

You can try if you want to talk to someone on channel 6...But I think you would have better luck getting someone on one of the other 39 channels, with your radio turned "OFF", to come back to ya before anyone on channel 6 will ever acknowledge your there....
